This term our topic is 'Amazing Egyptians'. We will start off by looking at the history of the ancient Egyptians in the first half of the term. In the second half of the term we will be looking at the River Nile to find out more about the geography of the area.
In Maths we will be covering length, mass, volume and capacity where we will learn to convert different units of measurement and reading scales. At the end of each unit we apply our skills in these areas to problem solving, developing our use of bar models. In Art we will be designing and making 'Death Masks' just like the Pharoahs used to wear. In science we will investigate nutrition of both humans and different animals.
PE Days - Both Wednesday and Thursday (Earrings are not to be worn or tape needs to be provided to cover them up.)
This Term Kingfishers will also be swimming so please remember swimming items each Friday.
Reading books - Children can change these at the end of the day as they get ready to go home.
Homework - Maths and spelling sent out on Friday to be returned by the following Wednesday.
