Spring 2 Enrichment - Forest school

A very wet and rainy day = lots of muddy fun and exploration!

What a fantastic World Book Day we had this year! The children came to school dressed as a book character and they all looked amazing! We made some bookmarks, played a 'Guess the story' game, shared some of our wonderful books that were brought in, and wrote about the character we chose to be.  We even had a go at making our own class story, that will be placed near our book corner very soon!

Goldfinches had so much fun during our Kangaroos and Koalas WOW afternoon.  The children were able to make and decorate their own Rain stick, using foil, rice and lentils and cardboard tubes.  The children also painted their own boomerangs using a variety of colours and tools to paint some patterns on them.  They decorated an Australian hat and we attached a photo of them and stuck these around our classroom door.  They had so much fun and their creations were fantastic! We ended our afternoon by reading a story from the billabong and found our why frogs only croak.

Polar bear and penguins 'WOW' day

The children had fun taking part in our Polar bear and penguin 'WOW' day. They used a range of techniques and materials to create different collages as a group and individually.

The children had fun taking part in outdoor activities during enrichment Fridays.

Thank you to all the parents and children for taking part in our Numbot Day. We were amazed by all the amazing costumes and robot related T-shirts and trousers. The children had fun taking part in robot related maths work and games. We are thrilled to hear you are enjoying Numbots at home and working your way through the levels.

The children had fun taking part in outdoor maths work and games. They are really enjoying our new outdoor learning space.
