This half term we will be learning all about the minibeasts which live in our local environment in our topic 'Where the minibeasts are!'. In Science, we will be exploring how most living things live in habitats to which they are suited, finding out how different habitats provide for the basic needs of different kinds of animals and plants and researching how plants and animals in different environments depend on each other. In English, most of our work will focus on the children's author Julia Donaldson. After reading lots of her books, we will be describing her characters, retelling her stories and writing a biography about her. In Maths, we will be revising strategies for addition and subtraction, learning to tell thee time, exploring money and learning to use units of measurement and read scales. Our Geography and History work will focus on our school where we will be finding out about its history and creating our own maps and plans to show where things are located. In Computing we will be collecting data about bugs and presenting it in different ways using the Fotor app, the 2Simple graphing programme and Powerpoint. Another busy term!
