We are F.R.O.G.S (Friends of Greenleas School); parents, relatives and teachers who aim to make a positive contribution to the children’s experiences at Greenleas School. We volunteer to organise and run various fundraising events, activities and initiatives throughout the school year.
Get involved/Join in
We are a registered charity who run as a committee, assisted by parents and staff in various ways to plan, organise and run the events. Without this extra help the events simply would not happen so if you can spare any time at all either on a regular basis or at specific events please get in touch. firstname.lastname@example.org
We invite all parents to join the PTA Facebook Group where we post details about all our events and fundraising activities. https://www.facebook.com/groups/GreenleasDRPTA/
Benefits to the children
The funds raised by the PTA go entirely to benefit our children. Projects enriching their experiences at school include:-
All school trip coach travel.
Playground equipment, markings and seating for safe and stimulating outdoor play.
The forest school to help the children grow in confidence and independence / for creative, diverse and imaginative play.
Various other areas of the school.
This year we are continuing to target funds for the ongoing 3 year project to improve the school playground facilities.
We run several events and other initiatives and welcome new ideas.
Popular events include themed disco’s, Magic Shows, Easter events and Christmas and Summer Fayres.
Recycling via our ‘Frogs Go Green’ Initiative. We recycle inkjet cartridges, clothes and foreign currency in exchange for funds which go directly into the PTA pot.
Commission from name labels purchases through https://stamptastic.co.uk/ Use code LU72AB when ordering.
A monthly prize draw called the 100 Club. You purchase a number for £1 per month and this is entered into a monthly prize draw. 50% of the money collected is paid out in prize money and the rest goes to the PTA funds. There is no restriction on how many numbers you buy and it is open to parents, staff, family, governors and friends over the age of 16.
