Spring Term 2018 Planning
Last term our topic was ‘People Who Help Us’. We were very lucky to be visited by Amanda the nurse, Trev the fire fighter, PCSO’s Parker and Geary, Annie with Alvin from ‘Dogs for Good’ and Police Dog handler Neil joined by his dog Hollie. The children enjoyed being weighed by Amanda, sitting inside the police van and wearing a police hat, trying on a fire fighters kit, meeting Alvin, hearing about all the amazing things he will get taught and finally watching Hollie search and find a hidden tennis ball around Pre-School. Our thanks to all of those visitors.
This term we are looking forward to seeing the start of Spring, warmer weather, the buds on the trees and bushes as well as the start of daffodils and crocuses shooting up from the ground. This ties in nicely with this terms topic which is ‘Life cycles’. We have a busy term coming up with Mother’s Day and Easter to include into this terms planning. The children have made something special for Mummies and will be doing some baking to take home. We will also be making some fun Easter craft activities.
For the first half of the Summer term we will be looking at ‘The Jungle’ followed by ‘Holidays’ for the second half.
