School Safety

Parking - The school continues to have regular complaints about parking outside. We have spoken to our police community support officer who has advised that any residents with complaints should report number plates to the local police.

The school gates will be open from 7.50am.  Breakfast Club opens at 8.00am.  Parents bringing their child should ensure that they see their child into the club. Children attending a morning sports club should be brought to the main entrance and passed to Mr Norris in the hall.
There are two gates at the side entry. One blue and one green. These are both electronically controlled. The blue gate should be used for entry to the Willows building and the green gate for all entry to the main school.

Children should arrive for the start of school by 8.45am - at this point parents are responsible for their children. Gates will remain open until 9am after which they will be locked. Children arriving after this time should be brought to the main entrance and signed in.

Under no circumstances should children be dropped off at the school car park without being accompanied by an adult.

Parents of younger children will be collecting them at 11.45pm from Ducks and at 12.00 noon from Swans or Puffins.
Parents of children attending Ducklings should use the electronic gate and make their way to the Early Years playground in good time for 12.45pm.

At the end of the school day, gates will be opened at 3.15pm and locked again at 3.45pm when the majority of children have left the grounds. Younger children under 7 will be handed to the adult collecting them. Children of 7 or older will be let out of their classroom at 3.30pm . If an adult is not there to collect them then they are instructed to come back into school to wait or to telephone.

If your child is allowed to walk home or to another classroom on their own please inform your child’s class teacher.

For children attending an after school club then the responsible adult will have responsibility for handing the child over to the collecting adult. Please collect from the main entrance or outside the classroom for French or Cooking club.

It is essential that you contact the school immediately if you are late collecting your child or if you have made alternative arrangements. If no-one answers the phone the office may be temporarily unmanned, however the school answerphone is checked at regular intervals.

Please take extra care when entering or leaving via the school car park outside of school hours.
