Home/School Partnership and Agreement
The School places great value in the relationship between Parents, teachers and pupils. This is a strength at Greenleas, as acknowledged by Ofsted.
There are termly Consultation Evenings so that parents have the opportunity to meet their children’s teacher and review their childs work. Together they agree targets for the coming months. A written report is provided in the Summer Term.
Parents are invited to attend open assemblies where classes and groups of children share their work and ideas with the rest of the school.
Workshops and family learning events are arranged from time to time where parents and children can learn alongside each other
We welcome the help of parents and friends from the community in many areas of school life, both in and out of the classroom.
All parents are expected to encourage their children to read at home on a daily basis and to support the learning topics . A Homework folder is supplied for children’s homework tasks and a homework diary is provided for older children.
The school has a Homework Policy, which is shared with parents each year.
Parents, teachers and pupils sign a home/school agreement at the beginning of each school year. This is a strong commitment to working closely together. It should be signed by both parent and child and returned to school.
