Extended Schools
By 2010, all children should have access to a variety of extended services in, or through, their school. The ‘core offer’ for mainstream and special schools is:
- high-quality childcare, available 8am – 6pm all year round
- a varied programme of activities
- community access
- swift and easy referral
- parenting support
For more detailed information on the core offer please visit the LC2 website.
Greenleas is committed to developing its extended service provision. The school works with other schools in the area as part of the collaborative partnership LC2. Your ideas for activities or support services the school might offer are welcome. Please email us with any suggestions for developments or improvements.

Greenleas is committed to providing swift referral to specialist support for its pupils and their families. There are many procedures in place to identify pupils who would benefit from additional support. Parents/carers are involved at all stages of any referral process.
Greenleas offers a range of parenting support for parents/carers - from curriculum evenings to specialist support. LC2 offers a programme of events for parents, hosted at local schools.
