School Council
The aim of the school council is to promote good citizenship. We aim to give all children an opportunity to develop and participate in the school council. There are two school council meetings every two weeks, one for Key Stage 1 children and one for Key Stage 2. Both groups are run by year 4 pupils supported by teachers. The two groups change every half term so that over the year all children will be able to represent their friends on the school council.

This opportunity supports the children in developing good speaking and listening skills for the future. Both the children and the teachers put forward items to be discussed and ideas are brainstormed. The class representatives then report back to their classes. Recently groups have discussed and helped to organise fundraising events and also contributed a variety of safety ideas for implementation during building work.
