Consultation evenings for you to meet your child’s teacher and review progress are held termly and a comprehensive written report is provided in the Summer Term.

What would happen if my child was ill at school?

Answer: We produce an information sheet which you must complete at the beginning of each school year. This gives us contact numbers for yourself and an emergency contact number in case we cannot reach you. In the case of an accident or emergency we would ensure the necessary treatment is administered while we contact you.

What happens if my child requires medication during the school day?

Answer: In exceptional circumstances a member of staff will administer medication which has been prescribed for the child by a doctor. Other medication will not be given. An indemnity form must be signed. Contact the school office for more information.

What should I do if my child is too ill to attend school?

Answer: Please advise the school office as soon as possible if your child is too ill to attend school. Please send a note to the class teacher when your child has been absent.

What are the rules around term time holidays?

Answer: As the school plans programmes of work for pupils to follow, it is disruptive for your child and the teacher if pupils take holidays within school time. We appreciate that in certain circumstances this may be unavoidable and the law allows for a maximum period of two weeks to be taken in any school year. You will need to complete a Holiday Request Form. Contact the school office.
