After School Play club
The After School play club is available from 3.30pm. to 6.00pm. every day during term time. (Except teacher training days.) The club is run by our play leader, Mrs Anita Howes, in a warm, friendly and caring environment within our wonderful new Willow Tree building. Healthy snacks are provided and children may bring a packed tea if they are staying at the club beyond 5.00pm. Your child will be collected from their classroom by a member of play club staff and taken directly to The Willow Tree building. Children are offered a range of play activities suitable to their needs.
These include fun outdoor games as well as quieter areas available for reading and relaxing if this is what the children want. We organise sewing, crafts, painting and lots of fun games!
Before and After School Clubs and Activities
In your book bags you will have received booking forms for next half term for playclub, sports clubs (Year 1 – 4) and Cooking club( Year 2-4). Please complete and return them to school as bookings are on a first come, first served basis and places are limited. Duplicate forms are available from the school office or downloaded from here.
Children wishing to use the club need to be registered at the beginning of the school year. The registration process covers both before and after school clubs and ensures that the staff has relevant information about your child and emergency contact details. The form can be downloaded here. You will also need to agree to the terms of membership of the club.
Bookings must be made at least 24 hours in advance (but note it is advisable to book as early as possible) so that we can ensure an appropriate staff to child ratio. Places can be booked in sessions, (download the booking form here) currently:
15.15 – 16.30pm: £3 (per hour or part hour)
16.30 – 17.30pm £3 (per hour or part hour)
17.30 – 18.00pm: £3 (per half-hour or part half-hour)
The club closes at 6pm and if parents or carers are late to collect their child a charge of £5 per five minutes will be applied.
Cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance. Refunds will not be given for any place cancelled with less than 24 hours notice. This is because we will still need to meet the staff costs and another child may be denied a place. Terms and conditions can be downloaded here. Mrs Howes can be contacted on 0754 998 2862. Wrap-around care for part-time Early Years Children
Wrap–around care is available for children who attend the school’s Early Years unit part time. This can be provided in association with The Willows Pre-school and Greenleas’ Before and After School Play clubs, subject to space being available.
