Welcome

I am enormously proud to be Head Teacher at Greenleas.
It is a very successful and friendly school and I attribute this to the dedication and commitment of our staff and the strong relationships between staff, children and families.
Our priority is to achieve the very best for every child in our care - every child matters and their individual needs, development and welfare is our number one priority.
Our children are motivated and enthusiastic and achieve high standards, often above national averages, in English, Mathematics, Science, Music and ICT. This excellence in standards is however balanced against provision of an enriched curriculum in an environment where learning is made enjoyable. This generates a real positive enthusiasm for learning - an attribute which was acknowledged in our most recent Ofsted report.
As a result Greenleas has been named as one of the country's particularly successful schools, as it has received an outstanding inspection report and also achieved consistently good or improving test and exam results. We continue to build on our success. A summary of the Inspectors' comments can be seen on our Ofsted Achievements page
I would be pleased to answer any questions by phone or email and if you are a new parent, you are most welcome to visit our school. Our school profile can be seen on the Directgov site.
Please note that Stephanie Readyhough has now retired after nine years as Head at Greenleas. We are delighted to announce our new Headteacher. Miss Cheryl Johnson will be joining us in September. She is currently Headteacher at a school in Luton and has a great deal of experience to bring to Greenleas. We look forward to welcoming her to our school.
